Cao Dongyi: Microscopic Symptoms and Tumor Properties of Cancer - Therapeutic Wisdom from the Perspective of Chinese Medicine

In the vast cosmos of medicine, cancer is like a bright star, both shining with the hope of life and hiding the shadow of death. Modern medicine provides a powerful weapon for the treatment of cancer with its precise empirical diagnosis of lesions. However, lesions are not the only explanation for complex clinical phenomena, and the problem of cancer is by no means limited to the visible mass.

We often see scenes where cancer patients live as normal before they are diagnosed, can eat, sleep and work, even walk as fast as they can to get a medical checkup. However, once told they had cancer, it seemed like overnight, they couldn''t eat, slept, and were even paralysed in bed and struggled to walk. This is not simply the result of psychological effects, but the comprehensive physical and psychological invasion of the patient by the complex disease of cancer at the micro level.

Modern medicine puts too much emphasis on surgical cure, attempting to eradicate cancer completely by removing the lesion and the surrounding tissue. However, it turns out that this method of "weeding out the roots" often does not work well and may even harm innocent people. Esophagus cancer, 5 cm above and below the lesion, has been resected, and lymph nodes have been dissected. However, postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy are still needed. These treatments, which are meant to prevent recurrence, may become the culprit of "carcinogenesis." According to statistics, the majority of cancer patients die not from the cancer itself, but from the complications of fear and mistreatment.

So what is the truth about cancer? In fact, every person and every cell has cancer genes, and the key is whether these genes are active or inactive. This depends on the complex state of the human microsphere, whether it is disordered or balanced. TCM has long recognized this, viewing cancer as an outward manifestation of disorders in the microspheres of the human body.

The strength of TCM in treating cancer lies in adjusting the micro-areas of the patient''s dysfunction to help the patient transform to a healthy direction. The improvement and disappearance of various symptoms is an external manifestation of the correcting of the microscopic complex disorder state. For example, menstrual breast pain, although the patient does not have a lump, it can neither be diagnosed as a proliferation nor a tumor, but after treatment with traditional Chinese medicine to soothe the liver, calm the stomach, and dissolve the knot, the patient''s symptoms disappear, and it is possible to eliminate the lesion in the uninitiated state. Isn''t this "non-invasive" treatment better?

The symptoms reported by patients are "special functions" that the human body has developed over millions of years. These symptoms, like "alarms" inside the human body, are constantly telling doctors about "dynamic changes" in complex micro-areas of the body. However, modern medicine often easily abandons these symptoms because they are unrepeatable in animals and because there is no quantitative laboratory data, and even treats them as a falsehood. What a short-sighted thing this is!

The symptoms of "sub-healthy" people, who make up more than 70% of the population, are a warning to us about imbalances in complex micro-areas of the body. At this time, has not formed "fixed lesions," it is easier to correct, easier to restore its inherent physiological balance, restore the state of health. The strength of traditional Chinese medicine is that it is adept at capturing these subtle changes to achieve the purpose of treating diseases by adjusting the yin-yang balance of the human body, the circulation of air and blood, etc.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has always advocated such advanced medical ideas as "preventive treatment of disease," "treatment of the superficial," and "saving the young." These ideas not only reflect the respect and care of life of traditional Chinese medicine, but also demonstrate the unique wisdom of traditional medicine in treating complex diseases such as cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine focuses not only on the lesion itself, but also on the micro-area disorder state behind the lesion. By adjusting this dysregulated state, traditional Chinese medicine has the potential to cause cancer lesions to disappear on their own and achieve clinical self-healing.

Let''s take a cancer patient as an example. Mr. Zhang chose traditional Chinese medicine after being diagnosed with lung cancer. The traditional Chinese medicine practitioners examined, smelled, asked and cut together four signs and found that Mr. Zhang had symptoms of depressed liver, stagnant stomach and constipation of sputum. The doctor then prescribed a Chinese herbal remedy for liver healing, spitting and swelling. After several months of treatment, Mr. Zhang''s symptoms gradually improved and his mental state also improved significantly. On a re-examination, the lesions in the lungs actually shrank. This is a vivid example of TCM adjusting the dysfunctional state of the microsphere and treating cancer.

Cancer, a complex and devious disease, requires us to take a more comprehensive and in-depth look at it and treat it. Chinese medicine, with its unique symptom thinking and holistic concept, has provided us with a new path of treatment. Let us join hands with traditional Chinese medicine to explore the mysteries of cancer and contribute wisdom and strength to the cause of human health.
